Messi to PSG Confirmed

After the emotional press conference, where Lionel Messi confirmed his departure from the Catalan giants; the 34 trophies footballing Goat, is heavily linked to a move to PSG. 

Yesterday, It has been confirmed by the transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, that Messi has indeed signed for the French Champions Lionel Messi arrived in Paris on Wednesday and agreed on a deal worth over £1 million a week. The Argentinan forward, 34, approved a two-year contract with Paris St-Germain worth £53.8 million per season before tax deductions are made, with an option to stay on for the 2023-24 campaign. 

Messi, who has taken the number 30 shirt at PSG, celebrating the first football number he had at the start of his footballing career. He will also receive a sizable signing on fees for joining as a free agent as Barcelona faced financial obstacles from La Liga's financial fair play rules, after being 1 billion euros in debt! 

PSG forward Neymar, former Barcelona playmaker,  used his social media accounts to show he expected to be reunited with his team-mate from Barca. Furthermore, Messi’s father Jorge, who is also his agent, confirmed his son would join PSG when asked by reporters at Barcelona’s El Prat airport.
